Auction website ebay can be a very popular source of making money on the Internet, there are millions of people using the site as a means of selling items not just on a personal basis but also a commercial one. Due to the popularity and user-base of the site, it is possible to sell all sorts of items on the site due to the vast amount of people that purchase items from ebay.
One of the popular ways of making money on the ebay website is by selling wholesale items. It involves purchasing items in bulk for a discount, and then listing the items on ebay.
One of the other most popular ways to earn money from ebay is by dropshipping. This is similar to wholesale, but instead of purchasing the items from a supplier you actually strike up a deal with your supplier. You will choose an item that you will be selling that the dropshipper can supply you with, and you set a price with your supplier. You might agree a price of £1 per item and there are 100 items to sell. Now if you sell them on ebay you might set a 'Buy It Now' price of £1.50. If someone purchases the item, you accept their payment but you send the transaction details off to the dropshippers. The dropshipper (or supplier) will then send the item off to the ebay auction winner. Most dropshippers will simply charge you a fee for selling products that they own, instead of selling the items directly to you (which you would then sell on at a profit). You can start with ebay.com or amazon.com

By using a dropshipper, you are eliminating a lot of the hassle that is involved with listing items on ebay. You don't have to worry about packaging an item up, taking it down to the post office or arranging a courier service. You don't have to worry about paying the postage either, or about whether the item arrived or not. All you need to do is concentrate on selling the items, as long as you remember to send off the relevant details to your dropshipper (customers name, address, etc).
ReplyDeleteDropshipping is thus very popular with people selling on ebay and elsewhere. You can simply put all your efforts into selling an item, and you don't have to worry about anything else. You don't need masses of storage space for these items, you won't need a warehouse or any spare space to keep the items you are trying to sell - the dropshippers will be storing and looking after the goods.
The most important part of dropshipping is that you carefully research and choose an item which is definitely going to sell. Although there is less pressure on you to sell (you don't have hundreds of items scattered all over your bedroom floor) you will still want to find a product which is popular, or else you won't actually gain any money. Make sure you spend plenty of time researching items to sell on ebay, and have a long careful look at the marketplace that you will be working in.
When finding a dropshipper (supplier) be wary against giving them any money up front. Usually dropshippers will be willing to discuss their items on the phone or via email, and they won't ask for any kind of payment at this stage. Dropshippers are very willing to let people sell their items on their behalf - it does them a favour, and gets rid of the hassle that they might encounter when trying to sell their goods. Try and find a supplier of an item you are willing to sell by looking on google or elsewhere, and then contact them regarding becoming a dropshipper. A good relationship with your supplier is a must, so do try to be honest and as helpful as possible when discussing your plans.
Whaooooooo, this is interesting.
